Florida is 46th in the nation for teacher pay, and our education staff professionals’ wages are below the poverty level.
Your union colleagues are calling on their legislators and Governor Ron DeSantis to increase state funding to $743 per student.
Florida’s educators have gone too long without meaningful salary increases. It is time for the Legislature to put our public school students and their neighborhood public schools first!
The Florida Department of Education is already projecting that there will be more than 10,000 teacher vacancies and many Florida students will start next year without a permanent, fully certified teacher.
We know what needs to be done to create the learning environments our students need. Help us tell lawmakers our students can’t afford to wait. We need to act now.
Join us by signing the petition and tell Tallahassee they must increase state funding for our public schools by $743 per student!
