The US Supreme Court has ruled on the ability of public-sector unions to require nonmembers to pay dues or fees, which will dramatically change national labor law. The Janus v AFSCME decision means the entire US public sector will now be "right-to-work", and the political ramifications will be felt for years to come. The ruling in Janus v AFSCME case does not affect our local union and the way we are currently structured or organized, however the imact of this decision will affect our national affiliates greatly and labor rights as a whole.
